Lt. Gen. Amar (Retd.) is a distinguished soldier-scholar of international repute, celebrated for his visionary leadership, strategic foresight, and transformational approach to defence and security. Known for being a creative and out-of-the-box thinker, he brings over four decades of exemplary service in the Indian Defence Forces, shaping the future of leadership, strategy, and military innovation. After an illustrious career, he retired in March 2019 as Head of Training and Head of Faculty at the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington India’s flagship Institute of Excellence. Today, he continues to contribute to global think-tanks, intellectual forums, and strategic institutions through his writings, lectures, and thought leadership on defence, national security, and leadership development.
